Metta Lou Henderson

Metta Lou Henderson received her B.S. Pharmacy, M.S., and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. Previous to her retirement in 1998, she served as a practicing pharmacist, as pharmacy director in a community hospital, and as faculty and later associate dean for student services at Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Henderson remains active in pharmacy organizations, including APhA, AACP, Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, and various state associations. In 2002, she wrote “American Women Pharmacists: Contribution to the Profession”. She has been the recipient of numerous awards including The Gloria Niemyer Francke Mentor and Leadership Award (APhA), Honorary President of APhA, AIHP Robert P. Fischelis Award, Metta Lou Henderson Award for Excellence in Academia from Kappa Epsilon and 2022 Women in Pharmacy from the APhA Foundation.
